First Page is a short Korean BL series about a university student who accidentally enters the wrong apartment. The main character is supposed to visit his friend, but he ends up at a stranger's home instead. It's a complete shock for both of them. Even after they clear up their misunderstanding, the protagonist feels so embarrassed by his mistake. Later, they cross paths again. The pair overcomes their awkward introduction and grows closer.
I liked how First Page begins. The characters meet due to a funny coincidence, introducing the story in a lighthearted way. Sadly, the excitement falls off a cliff for the rest of the series. It turns into a total snoozefest with dull conversations and forgettable scenes. The couple doesn't connect in a meaningful way. It's a shame because the leads have great chemistry when they kiss, but all that potential is wasted on a poorly written love story.

Plot

Woojin is a university student working on a group project. He's supposed to meet his friends, Jisu and Sihyeong. When Woojin arrives, he calls Jisu to let him in. However, his friend is actually too busy to come to the door. Jisu just gives him the passcode and tells him to come in without waiting. Woojin makes a snarky comment about how the password is just 0000 before walking into the apartment. He was expecting to see Jisu. Instead, he's greeted by a complete stranger.
Woojin is confused. At first, he's convinced there must be a thief inside Jisu's place. Meanwhile, Jaehyun just got out of the shower and also reacts in surprise. Some random guy is standing in his living room! He starts throwing the accusations right back, claiming Woojin is the one breaking in. Eventually, they clear up the misunderstanding. Woojin realizes he's in the wrong unit. Jisu lives at #3320, but Woojin ended up at #3302. It's the wildest coincidence since both guys used 0000 as their passcode. And due to his mistake, Woojin is accidentally stuck in a stranger's apartment.
Woojin apologizes and bolts out of the wrong apartment as fast as he can. He's so embarrassed about what happened. Of course, Jisu thinks the mistake is hilarious and keeps laughing at him for the whole mix-up. Once Sihyeong shows up, the three of them get to work on the group assignment. Sihyeong mentions that he knows a senior who already completed the project for the same professor. Apparently, the guy failed the class the first time, but then totally crushed it with an A+ on his second try. This senior is willing to help their group.
Jisu is a little sketched out about taking advice from someone who failed the class once. Sihyeong is adamant that the guy is actually brilliant. He just got lazy and stopped showing up to class. On the day they're supposed to meet this senior, both Sihyeong and Jisu end up too busy to go. Woojin gets stuck going alone to grab the notes, even though he's not thrilled about it. Jaehyun shows up and immediately recognizes the stranger who broke into his place. Woojin is still oblivious and hasn't realized he met this guy earlier.
Jaehyun ends up inviting Woojin back to his place to grab those course notes. The second they pull up to Unit #3302, it finally clicks for Woojin. He realizes this is the exact same guy from before. Woojin is absolutely mortified all over again. Jaehyun can't help but tease him a bit before they start discussing the project. They spend the whole afternoon together, but Jaehyun isn't ready to wrap things up yet. He tells Woojin to come back again so they can keep talking. Woojin actually agrees to revisit the next day.

First Page Review
Review
Drama Review Score: 6.0

First Page begins with a funny little mix-up. The protagonist, Woojin, accidentally enters the wrong apartment and meets a total stranger. It's cute seeing him get all flustered, especially when he crosses paths with Jaehyun again. This introduction is absolutely memorable. They only meet because a chain of unlikely events happens at the exact same time. I enjoy all the hilarious coincidences that bring the two leads together. First Page seems cheeky and clever, which is a great way to introduce the story.
Here's the problem… First Page stops being interesting after it starts. Sure, the apartment mix-up is funny, ha ha ha. The story should keep that momentum going, but it quickly runs out of ideas. Once the leads meet, the plot stays uneventful for the rest of the series. You can sense the energy dropping with every boring episode. The conversations? So dull. The interactions? Utterly unmemorable. And the characters? They have little development. There's just nothing to grab your attention. Unfortunately, First Page has turned into a total snoozefest and needs an urgent boost of excitement. Yawwwwwn!
Ugh, the writing is just terrible! This series relies heavily on dialogue, but it sounds so boring. There are too many redundant lines and just meaningless filler everywhere. When Jaehyun and Woojin talk, they aren't saying anything important. You never get the sense that they're actually connecting. The studio, True Film, has put out three poorly written BL dramas now. I have no idea who's responsible for these stories, but they need help. Bring in another writer for creative input or look over the scripts with a critical eye. It's wasting so much potential with such lousy writing.
Woojin and Jaehyun's scenes together are forgettable. Like, what do they actually know about each other? Basically nothing. Yet, Jaehyun has caught these random feelings based on love at first sight. Since his attraction is so shallow, I can't get excited about the romantic arc. Instead of focusing on the leads and showing their bond, Episode 3 suddenly pivots to the secondary couple. Why are we taking this detour? First Page is only half an hour long, so there's barely time to squeeze in two different relationships. Both pairs suffer since there's no room for development.
The plot is too light, so it never challenges the cast or gives them a chance to show what they can do. With that said, Woojin's actor (Seol Jong Hwan) feels natural on screen. You can tell he's more experienced than a typical rookie in these amateurish BL dramas. His co-star (Park Jun Mook) is growing on me! I like that spark of mischief in his eyes whenever he smiles. Best of all, both guys seem like good kissers. The couple's chemistry is quite compelling, and they actually look good together. If the series had a better story, I might be tempted to ship them as a couple.
First Page is the prequel to Love Reset. It's supposed to be Woojin & Jaehyun's origin story, explaining how they fall in love. Sadly, I'm not convinced. The couple only interests me when they kiss, but none of their other moments grab my attention. Even Jaehyun's confession in the finale feels too intense for a guy he just met. This series had such a good opportunity to improve on the original drama, but the writing is so lacklustre. I actually prefer the angsty Love Reset, which has a more interesting plot. Overall, First Page is just a mediocre story that wastes its early potential.
Summary
Boring story
Despite a funny beginning, First Page bores me for the rest of the series. The lousy writing is at fault. It can't deliver any interesting conversations or memorable scenes between the characters.
Shallow romance
The main couple has good chemistry when they're kissing. However, the rest of their relationship scenes are totally forgettable. It's hard to get excited by their shallow love-at-first-sight arc.
Promising acting
Woojin's actor (Seol Jong Hwan) feels natural on screen and shares promising chemistry with his co-star (Park Jun Mook). Sadly, the story is too light and doesn't highlight their abilities that much.
Happy ending
First Page has a happy ending, but I thought Jaehyun's love confession was too intense for a guy he had just met. At least the last scene is the couple's makeout session, which looks juicy.
Basic artistry
This series comes from a small team, so the production values are on the low-budget side. Given the constraints, the quality is acceptable. On a side note, I hope the studio invests in better writers.
60%
First Page is a dull BL drama that quickly loses momentum. I'm bored with the pointless conversations and forgettable scenes. Even if the leads are good kissers, I'm not interested in the couple.

Series History
First Page is a prequel. The original drama, Love Reset, was released earlier in 2025. They both feature the same couple. First Page is about how they met and became a couple, while Love Reset takes place years later.
You should probably start with First Page to meet the characters in a happy setting. You can continue their love story with Love Reset, and this sequel is much angstier.
Sequel
Love Reset started on October 2, 2025. It continues the love story between the two leads, but this sequel is angstier and highlights their relationship issues. This series has 4 short episodes.
