As the protagonists prepare for graduation, their friends and family are rooting for them.

Get ready for two hours of pure romantic fluff from Your Sky of Us. This sequel has a few charming moments, which will satisfy the fans of the original drama. The glossy visuals also look gorgeous, as expected. However, the storylines have no substance. The series constantly recycles the same tired clichés. And sure, the couple is sweet together, but how much more pointless flirting do we need? After a while, I'm sick of all the lovey-dovey scenes.

Plot

Teerak and Fah used to be a fake couple.

Teerak and Fah are university students.

Teerak is a cheerful university student who lives with his family, including his older sister Babe. He's a perpetual optimist who wants to be friends with everyone. Sometimes, he's a little too nice for his own good. When an upperclassman confesses his love, Teerak doesn't know how to turn him down.

Instead of saying no, Teerak comes up with an elaborate scheme to pretend he's dating another student, Fah. For a while, Teerak and Fah play along with this fake romance, hoping to throw everyone off the scent. They even pretend to go on dates. Somewhere along the way, their make-believe relationship turns into real love. They actually caught feelings for each other. Now Teerak and Fah are an actual couple.

Everyone supports Teerak and Fah's relationship.

Teerak gets along with his father now.

When Teerak and Fah started dating, almost everyone cheered them on. Teerak's friends, Joy and Type, were thrilled about the romance. Fah's younger brother, Lee, was also supportive. Speaking of Lee, he has his own love story brewing with another student, Klai. These two have been flirting for ages. They're so close to becoming a couple.

Meanwhile, Fah's friends are busy falling in love too. Real and Hia finally got together. Even Teerak's older sister, Babe, has a boyfriend named Dom. Both of them are happy for the couple. The only party pooper was Teerak's dad, who reacted badly when his son came out. Thankfully, he changed his mind. He's now on good terms with Teerak and Fah, so there's no more family drama!

Teerak and Fah still haven't reached some relationship milestones.

These days, Teerak and Fah are still disgustingly sweet together. They're in love, and everything seems to be going well. However, the couple still has a few relationship milestones to look forward to. For starters, Fah wants to throw Teerak a surprise birthday party. The problem is that he has no clue what gift to buy. He recruits his friends for some top-secret detective work!

Meanwhile, Teerak reconnects with two old university friends, Inn and Noh. Out of nowhere, Inn drops a bombshell by confessing his feelings for Teerak. Fah isn't happy about this romantic rival suddenly showing up to cause trouble. Fah can barely keep his composure. He can't help but feel jealous and possessive over his boyfriend.

Your Sky of Us Review

Review

Drama Review Score: 6.4

C
Fah kisses Teerak on the cheek.

Your Sky of Us is the sequel to Your Sky. This popular BL drama attracted enough fans that they brought it back for three extra episodes after the original series ended. Ugh, I don't understand the hype around such a mediocre story. Teerak & Fah's romance is like watching a marshmallow fall in love with a glass of milk. Sure, they're nice together, but where's the flavour? Are we not gonna have better taste or higher standards? Your Sky of Us proves that you can score a sequel even when you serve the most generic BL fluff.

The original Your Sky has eleven episodes of sweetness, plus one intense episode where the homophobic dad yells at his son. I'm glad the father returns for a few lighthearted scenes in Your Sky of Us. He finally supports Teerak, giving us some much-needed emotional healing after all the family trauma. The rest of the sequel is pure romantic fluff. Teerak and Fah have countless lovey-dovey moments, but they seem interchangeable with what we've already seen in the first season. The sequel has even less substance than the original series. Seriously, how much more pointless flirting do we need from this couple!?

Episode 1 is probably my favourite. Fah tries to buy Teerak a secret birthday present and recruits all their friends to help. The episode makes good use of the large supporting cast, so everyone gets dragged into the silly shenanigans. It's actually quite sweet that Fah goes through so much trouble just to make his boyfriend happy. The episode wraps up with a lovely birthday celebration, giving the couple a cute moment together. Is it an original storyline? No, but I still enjoyed a few moments. Even if the plot is very low-stakes, this romantic fluff puts a tiny smile on my face.

Episode 2 annoys me because it brings back the jealous boyfriend trope. Ugh, not this bullshit again! Do you know how tired I am of watching possessive men throw tantrums when their boyfriends talk to another guy? Fah goes through the same tired routine. First, he gets jealous. Then, he sulks about it. Finally, Teerak has to reassure Fah that he wuvs him wery wery much. Aww, is the big baby feeling better now? To be fair, the couple never argues. They talk things out like mature adults. I respect how they resolve the conflict, even if the storyline is so painfully overdone.

In Episode 3, the couple is back to exchanging presents. Again!? Graduation gifts! Anniversary gifts! Teerak even wears a ribbon before sex, as if to say "Baby, I'm your gift" without any embarrassment. The constant gift-giving has become such a lazy plot device to show how much the couple loves each other. I also hate that Fah surprises Teerak with a fancy car. Teerak feels uneasy with this expensive present, saying, "When I get a job and pay you back…" See what you've done, Fah? You've made your boyfriend feel indebted to you! How is that supposed to be romantic?

Your Sky of Us is beautifully produced. Those glossy visuals give the series a dreamy atmosphere. As for the acting, I haven't noticed any improvements, but at least the leads seem comfortable during intimate scenes. The finale ends with Fah proposing to Teerak. How predictable! After two seasons, the series still relies on the most obvious clichés to express romance. Okay, I know I'm being a hater… This love story is harmless, and I'm not mad that Fah wants to marry his boyfriend. But I'm just bored and tired of watching endless lovey-dovey scenes from Your Sky of Us.

Summary

Pointless story

Three bonus episodes, and the series is already scraping the bottom of the BL cliché barrel. The story is pure romantic fluff. Even minor subplots, like the jealous boyfriend trope, feel so overdone.

Fluffy romance

Teerak and Fah are kinda sweet together, but how much more pointless flirting do we need from these two!? After a while, I'm sick of watching all the lovey-dovey moments.

Okay acting

I haven't noticed much improvement in the acting since the first season. At least the leads seem comfortable during intimate scenes, so I'll give them that!

Happy ending

Your Sky of Us has a happy ending. Fah gets down on one knee and proposes to Teerak. After two seasons of romantic clichés, I'm not surprised that the series picked such a predictable conclusion.

Glossy artistry

The glossy visuals make everything look gorgeous, giving the series its signature dreamy atmosphere. But does anyone else think the birthday party looks better decorated than the rooftop proposal?

64%

Your Sky of Us offers two hours of pure romantic fluff. While there are a few charming moments, the storylines have no substance. This sequel feels pointless unless you're a big fan of the original drama.
