The best Korean BL dramas in 2026 include The Lie We Lived In, Summertime, The Prosecutor's Proposal, and Boy, with Caution.

Korean BL dramas didn't have the best year in 2026. Out of all the series I've watched, only a handful have really impressed me. Weirdly enough, many of my top recommendations are dark and toxic love stories. Forget the cute fluff! This year, Korean BL keeps giving us seriously messed-up relationships. These dramas often have more substance than I expected. The stories tackle interesting themes, so they make me think hard and pay close attention.

The Prosecutor's Proposal is my favourite Korean BL of the year. I'm a sucker for this sexy crime thriller, which combines an interesting murder investigation with a steamy gay romance. No wonder it's one of this year's biggest BL hits! I also really enjoyed Boy, with Caution. The teacher-student romance is gonna make you uncomfortable, just like it did with me. Even so, I still enjoyed the story as a dark psychological drama.

My top Korean BL recommendations in 2026 include:

  • The Prosecutor's Proposal (sexy & exciting crime thriller)
  • Boy, with Caution (super angsty psychological drama)
  • The Lie We Lived In (a BL version of Alfred Hitchcock)
  • Summertime (watch for the hot smut, not for the plot)

I have a lot more recommendations. Check out my full list of the best Korean BL series in 2026.

Top Korean BL Series in 2026

Which Korean BL dramas should I watch, BL Watcher?

I strongly recommend The Prosecutor's Proposal as one of the best Korean BL series in 2026.

Analyzing the best Korean BL dramas in 2026 is serious business. I've done the obsessive part for you. I've ranked every series from my biggest favourites to the mediocre ones that seriously tested my patience. If a BL drama completely flopped, you won't see it here. Harsh? Maybe. But this is a best-of list. Some crappy series are better forgotten. I'm doing us both a favour.

Start with my ranking of the best Korean BL in 2026. Then, move on to the recommendations. That's where the extra categories come in. I've picked my favourites for Best Story, Best Comedy, Best Kiss, and so forth… Yes, Best Kiss gets its own category. I've also highlighted the characters who made the strongest impression, including a few scene stealers (looking at you, Jaehyeon from The Prosecutor's Proposal) who almost hijacked their entire series.

If you want more than the quick recommendations, I've written reviews for all the 2026 Korean BL series. The longer stories go under Series, while the others get sorted into Short Dramas or Vertical Dramas. You can click on any title to read my full thoughts, including all the praise, complaints, and occasional rants.

Best Korean BL 2026 – Ranking

The Prosecutor's Proposal

The Prosecutor's Proposal (2026)

The Prosecutor's Proposal is a Korean BL series about the complicated relationship between a prosecutor and an investigator. Once they start working together, there's so much unresolved tension between them.

As one of this year's biggest BL hits, The Prosecutor's Proposal deserves its hype. I love that it offers a serious investigation and a spicy gay romance. This combination is rare enough that it makes the series so unique. While the story feels rushed at first, the second half delivers one great episode after another. The couple's relationship is rather complicated, but I like their flirting and steamy scenes. Plus, the talented cast gives strong performances.

Boy, with Caution

Boy, with Caution (2026)

Boy, with Caution is a Korean BL series about a high school teacher who gets tangled up with a student. He's concerned about this lonely teenager, but their relationship takes a complicated turn.

I'm fascinated by Boy, with Caution. The teacher-student romance is icky and inappropriate, but I enjoyed this story as a dark psychological drama. The series explores the controversial relationship with the seriousness it deserves. The emotions are also powerful. Every episode leaves me feeling helpless, since the characters are always suffering. I love how the talented actors portray their feelings without coming across as theatrical.

The Lie We Lived In

The Lie We Lived In (2026)

The Lie We Lived In is a Korean BL thriller series about an assassin hired to eliminate a homeowner. His plans are going smoothly until an unexpected visitor shows up and disrupts everything.

The first half of The Lie We Lived In was really compelling. This sexy thriller pulls off a vibe similar to the classic noir movies of the 1940s. I was on the edge of my seat, living for each second of psychological warfare and sexual tension. I didn't root for the couple at first. Their romance seems kinda twisted, but I changed my mind about them. The leads have decent chemistry. Sadly, I enjoyed the second half less because the story is full of plot holes.

Summertime

Summertime (2026)

Summertime is a Korean high school BL series about two childhood best friends. The lead is secretly in love with his bestie. He gets jealous when his friend grows close to a new transfer student.

My first impression of Summertime is super positive. Childhood besties falling in love is my favourite dynamic, so I enjoyed the couple's sexual tension. The chemistry is scorching, the kisses are iconic, and the polished production makes every spicy scene look amazing. Unfortunately, there's too much relationship angst and not enough meaningful character development. It's one of those BL dramas you watch for the smut, not for the plot.

Check in to You

Check in to You (2026)

Check in to You is a Korean BL series about a business executive and a guesthouse manager. After swapping bodies, both men must get used to their new identities.

After the body swap plot is underway, Check in to You delivers lots of lighthearted silliness. It knows how to have fun with goofy little moments. Both leads are charming, bringing the characters to life with their quirky personalities. They have a cute black cat and golden retriever dynamic, so I smile at their sweet moments together. However, the series is too short! Both the plot and romance feel rushed, leaving me slightly unsatisfied.

Sweet Blood

Sweet Blood (2026)

Sweet Blood is a Korean BL short drama about a vampire who loses his powers after drinking a human's blood. Ironically, he can only restore them with the human's help.

Unlike many generic BL dramas, I love that Sweet Blood has so much creativity. The story keeps getting weirder with its supernatural twists. Also, the series is quite funny. Forget the brooding vampire stereotype! Instead, this protagonist is such a goofball. Sadly, the short episodes rush through all the important plots. Even the romance is underdeveloped. The relationship feels like two friends hanging out than a couple falling in love.

Love Class 3

Love Class 3 (2026)

Love Class 3 is a Korean BL series about the former contestants from an idol survival show. One lucky guy won the competition, the second guy vanished from the spotlight, and the third guy quit because of an ugly scandal.

Season 3 of Love Class has a juicy premise. But annoyingly, it skips over the survival show and only shows us a few flashbacks. Why!? That's the most exciting part! Instead, the series gives us shallow K-pop stereotypes and contrived conflicts. The romances have some cute moments, but they aren't particularly satisfying either. Thank goodness there's one very lovable character. His charming personality makes every scene more enjoyable.

Four Hands, Two Sonatas

Four Hands, Two Sonatas (2026)

Four Hands, Two Sonatas is a Korean bromance series about two teenage pianists in a music school. Their instructor thinks they can learn from each other and encourages them to perform together.

Although it's not officially a BL drama, Four Hands, Two Sonatas has a strongly BL-coded bromance. Both main characters have compelling emotional arcs in the early episodes. At first, I enjoyed their sweet moments together. Sadly, the story goes downhill and gets too ridiculous in the second half. Of course, nothing romantic happens between the two leads. Don't get your hopes up for a secret gay romance in a mainstream K-drama!

Always Meet Again

Always Meet Again (2026)

Always Meet Again is a Korean BL series about a man who travels back in time and wakes up as his high school self. He wants to change history and save a classmate from an accident.

I liked the gorgeous cinematography in Always Meet Again. With intimate close-ups and beautiful filming locations, the visuals elevate the romantic atmosphere. I was charmed by the two leads. The charismatic actors are magnetic together, particularly in the early episodes. Once the boring time-travel plot starts to take over, I lose interest in the series. The writing becomes clunky and incoherent. The story goes downhill without ever recovering.

Laundry Romance

Laundry Romance (2026)

Laundry Romance is a Korean BL series about two men who meet at a laundromat. The lead feels anxious about his job search, but he receives great advice from a friendly stranger.

For those who like ordinary love stories, Laundry Romance offers a sweet couple with a simple relationship. Both leads are nice guys who treat each other respectfully, and they have cute scenes together with natural chemistry. It's very easy to root for them. That said, the series has some awkward dialogue that ruins the vibe of the conversations. The story is also too short and simple, so it doesn't feel particularly memorable.

High School Boy

High School Boy (2026)

High School Boy is a Korean BL vertical drama about a teenager who gets bullied by the delinquents in his class. He befriends the strongest classmate and hopes their friendship can protect him.

I laughed a lot during High School Boy. The main character is funny as he tries to outsmart his bullies with the silliest survival plans. He misreads every situation and makes things worse for himself. Bad for him, but entertaining for us. He also has a hilarious relationship dynamic with his love interest. However, their romance goes nowhere. Whenever the couple gets close to an intimate moment, the series always backs out. It's frustrating!

Fan Service

Fan Service (2026)

Fan Service is a Korean BL series about a celebrity who accuses the wrong person of being a stalker. After clearing up the misunderstanding, they meet again for an exclusive interview.

Early on, Fan Service entertained me during the first few episodes. The writing is surprisingly sharp. I'm grinning through all the jokes and cheeky banter. The childhood best friends have a charming dynamic, making me excited about their potential romance. But then, the second half takes a serious nosedive. The series handles two major storylines very clunkily. I'm disappointed that the protagonist doesn't end up with my preferred love interest.

Love Hurts

Love Hurts (2026)

Love Hurts is a Korean BL short series about two high school classmates who reconnect after years apart. The main character had a secret crush on the class president, who used to be his tutor.

This love story may be predictable, but Love Hurts still has a few sweet moments. I actually enjoyed the high school portion of the romance. During those flashbacks, I like seeing them joke around and have fun together. Once the characters grow up, their relationship isn't as compelling. Their conversations feel too much like filler. Also, both actors struggle with the dramatic material. They give stiff performances in the emotional scenes.

Summer Fever

Summer Fever (2026)

Summer Fever is a Korean BL short drama and the sequel to Winter Fever. The main characters are in a long-term relationship, but they still have some trust issues to overcome.

Compared to the previous series, Summer Fever brings a little more sunshine into the couple's romance. This sequel is sweeter and less angsty than Winter Fever. The leads have outgrown some of their annoying habits, so I like them slightly more. Yet, the series recycles the same tired BL plots that we've seen a million times before. While the two charming actors do their best to make the romance feel genuine, it's still a very generic love story.

Private Lesson

Private Lesson (2026)

Private Lesson is a Korean BL series about a professor after his former student confessed his feelings. They met back when he was a high school tutor. Now, they meet again after the failed confession.

I was uncomfortable with the power dynamics in Private Lesson. The romance between a student and his professor (plus former tutor) feels more predatory than sweet, especially since boundaries were ignored. The characters also seem painfully one-dimensional. With that said, the scandalous plot kept me interested the whole time. I wanted to see the mess play out! Also, the actors do a great job and give us juicy kissing scenes.

Never Forget Your Enemy

Never Forget Your Enemy (2026)

Never Forget Your Enemy is a Korean BL series about a guy who loses his memory after an accident. He can't remember all the years when he used to date his best friend.

Sorry, but Never Forget Your Enemy was really boring! The disjointed scenes and random flashbacks make the plot more confusing than it needs to be. The romance is also poorly written, so I'm just not that excited about this couple. Both leads are stiff actors who deliver their lines awkwardly. They only come alive during the steamy moments. Their sizzling kisses are sure to delight BL fans. Overall, I still find this story dull and forgettable.

Winter Fever

Winter Fever (2026)

Winter Fever is a Korean BL short series about a couple facing recent relationship issues. Another man uses this opportunity to sabotage the couple and seduce the protagonist.

I don't have strong feelings about Winter Fever. The story is pretty unoriginal. Can you blame me for feeling bored about yet another BL love triangle? Occasionally, the rival spices things up with his troublemaking chaos. The cast also delivers solid performances, so this series isn't a total waste of my time. However, I just don't care about the boring couple. They seem unhappy together. By the end, I was actually rooting for them to split up.

Love Penalty

Love Penalty (2026)

Love Penalty is a Korean high school BL series about two volleyball players. The team captain finds the new recruit annoying at first, but they warm up to each other and grow closer.

The first few episodes of Love Penalty seem promising. I like seeing my favourite character from Saint Laurence Academy star in his own BL drama. The leads have entertaining moments together, but their romance lacks chemistry and meaningful development. I wish the series spent more time on their relationship instead of pointless drama. The second half of the story gets too absurd. I keep rolling my eyes at all the plot holes.

Play Me

Play Me (2026)

Play Me is a Korean BL series about a former actor who becomes a director. During auditions, he reunites with his high school crush after years of drifting apart.

I watched all eight episodes of Play Me and don't remember most of it. That's how forgettable this BL drama is. The story moves so slowly. The dull conversations make me wanna tune out whenever the characters talk. While the couple has a few sweet moments, I don't like their cheesy lines and passionless kisses. The acting is also hit-or-miss, although I give the production team credit for making the visuals look surprisingly pretty.

Cross Link (2026)

Checkered Shirt 2 is the second season for the Korean BL series. This sequel continues the couple's love story. They seem happy together, but an ex-boyfriend's rumours stir up trouble between them.

Unfortunately, Cross Link is a dull and forgettable short series. It deals with the classic "boyfriend moves overseas for work" drama. The plot is painfully predictable with zero surprises, playing everything so safe that you can map out the entire story in your head before it starts. At only 15 minutes long, the series is too short to develop the romance. The free version doesn't even include a kiss since the romantic content is locked behind a paywall.

Love in Protocol

Love in Protocol (2026)

Love in Protocol is a Korean BL short series about a psychological experiment. The lead runs a clinical study on human behaviour, but his test subject uses this opportunity to flirt with him.

At the start, I was willing to give Love in Protocol a chance because of its unusual premise. Setting a romance inside a psychological experiment seems intriguing. However, I'm not a fan of this romance. The couple's scenes together are cold and clinical. They have uncomfortable power dynamics and an iffy backstory. I don't even understand why they like each other. While the kissing scene may be decent, the rest of the relationship has felt off-putting.

Wooju Bakery

Wooju Bakery (2026)

Wooju Bakery is a Korean sci-fi comedy BL series about a bakery owner and an alien. The lead is shocked when a UFO crashes into his shop. He meets an alien prince who needs his help on Earth.

I appreciate the quirky premise behind Wooju Bakery. It deserves credit for taking a creative risk and doing something different. However, I didn't enjoy the series at all. The story is too weird and too ridiculous. The humour is embarrassingly childish. Everything is so silly that I can't take the plot seriously. Even the human-alien romance is nothing special. Toward the end, I was mentally checked out. Those last few episodes are almost unwatchable.

Opposites Attract

Opposites Attract (2026)

Opposites Attract is a Korean BL short series about two guys who met at a bar. The lead lied about his age to seem older, and he gets caught when they see each other again.

I see a few glimpses of potential in Opposites Attract. With better writing, the storylines could have been interesting. However, most of the series just feels painfully awkward. The couple has negative chemistry, even when they kiss. Their chats are dull and pointless. I'm not convinced they have feelings for each other. Midway, the plot gets slightly more complex. I almost became invested in the romance, but the finale let me down again.

On the Edge

On the Edge (2026)

On the Edge is a Korean short movie about three relationships, including a BL couple. Each story begins with the main character finding out his or her best friend is leaving.

Unfortunately, I didn't enjoy On the Edge all that much. While the concept sounds cool on paper, watching the same scene three times feels repetitive. There's not enough variation between each version of the story. I also don't like how we only get one random moment in the couple's relationship. Without a longer romantic journey, I have no attachment to any of these characters. On a positive note, some of the actors give decent performances.

Fix the Error!

Fix the Error! (2026)

Fix the Error is a Korean BL short drama about a grim reaper who arrives in the living world. He's here to collect a human soul, but he can't identify the correct guy.

Ooh, a grim reaper BL drama! Fix the Error sounds intriguing at first, but I quickly realized its ambitious premise was too much for a one-hour series. The story is riddled with plot holes, making it hard to take anything seriously. Even worse, it wastes a fascinating supernatural concept on a boring love triangle. Both relationships are underdeveloped. The lead has zero chemistry with anyone. It doesn't help that the cast delivers amateurish performances.

Best Stories

The Prosecutor's Proposal Compelling story

The Prosecutor's Proposal - Best Story

One of my favourite things about The Prosecutor's Proposal? It's half crime thriller, half gay romance. This combo is surprisingly rare. The series finds a comfortable pace, balancing the serious plots with just the right amount of personal moments. By the second half, the story delivers one excellent episode after another.

Boy, with Caution Fascinating story

Boy, with Caution - Best Story

Boy, with Caution has a fascinating story, which tackles a morally complicated topic. We've seen BL creators try to make love stories between teachers and their students before. None of them were well-written, so I could easily dismiss them as trash. But then, this series comes along and tackles the taboo storyline with the seriousness it deserves. The characters actually have substance and struggle with complicated feelings.

The Lie We Lived In Complicated story

The Lie We Lived In - Best Story

Are you familiar with those classic noir movies from the 1940s & 1950s? The Lie We Lived In gives off a similar vibe. Kinda like the BL version of Alfred Hitchcock. The series was exhilarating in those first few episodes. It had just the right amount of psychological warfare and sexual tension. I was on the edge of my seat, curious about what would happen next!

Hottest Romances

Summertime Smutty romance

Summertime - Hottest Romance

The #1 reason to watch Summertime is the smut. Damn, this series is packed with raunchy scenes! These guys have sizzling chemistry, especially when they make out. Other dramas try to serve risque content, but the actors aren't comfortable or the camera misses the hottest angles. But here, everything works. Summertime gives us legendary kisses, insane chemistry, and top-notch visuals. We hit the BL jackpot!

Never Forget Your Enemy Steamy romance

Never Forget Your Enemy - Hottest Romance

Thankfully, the steamy scenes in Never Forget Your Enemy compensate for the lacklustre romance. The car sex scene in Episode 5 is a highlight. These guys are squeezed into the backseat, making out and stripping off their clothes. The camera knows where it needs to be. Every shot is perfectly framed to capture the heat between them. Wow, that's HOT!

Cutest Couples

Check in to You Charming couple

Check In to You - Cutest Couple

Check in to You is a cute little love story. After the leads switch bodies, the story turns into a lot of lighthearted silliness. It knows how to have fun with this wacky plot. I kinda like Jio and Dokyung as a couple. They have a cute black cat and golden retriever dynamic, so I'm smiling at their sweet moments together. While the story isn't perfect, it's just a charming romcom I enjoyed.

Always Meet Again Romantic couple

Always Meet Again - Cutest Couple

Early on, I'm swept away by the romantic atmosphere in Always Meet Again. This series delivers gorgeous cinematography, which makes the love story feel so dreamy. The couple is frolicking in the water… Riding bikes along the coastline… Gazing into each other's eyes at sunset… Oh gosh, the visual storytelling does some impressive work to elevate this series!

Funniest Comedies

High School Boy Hilarious comedy

High School Boy - Funniest Comedy

High School Boy is funny! Our lead, Iltak, wants to survive high school without getting bullied. The humour comes from Iltak's hilarious reactions to everything. He dreams up the silliest survival strategies. Sometimes, he totally misunderstands what's happening. Other times, he makes a bad situation even worse for himself. You feel sorry for Iltak, but you're also giggling at his nonsense.

Fan Service Lighthearted comedy

Fan Service - Funniest Comedy

I really liked the cheekiness at the start of Fan Service. You can tell the writer had so much fun with the script, sneaking in little jokes here and there. The writing was surprisingly sharp. There were funny moments that made me laugh out loud. The banter between the friends felt natural. I breezed through those first few episodes with a big grin, completely entertained. Early on, Fan Service left such a great impression.

Most Creative

Sweet Blood Quirky story

Sweet Blood - Most Creative

Sweet Blood has such an interesting premise! A vampire is ready to taste some human blood, but his night goes awfully wrong. Just when you think the victim is helpless, he stops the vampire's powers. Aha, the tables have turned! I love how the story takes creative risks and keeps getting weirder with its supernatural twists. This quirky BL drama deserves some credit for its creativity.

Wooju Bakery Weird story

Wooju Bakery - Most Creative

Wooju Bakery was not what I expected. I assumed it'd be a cozy little romance about running a bakery and making croissants. Instead, the series is actually a wacky sci-fi comedy about aliens? There are spaceships, galaxies, rayguns, and some guy who turns into a stuffed dog? WTF??? These ideas are totally out there! My first impression of Wooju Bakery is that it feels too damn weird, but I wanna give them credit for taking a huge creative risk. At least this series is doing something different from the norm.

Fix the Error Intriguing story

Fix the Error - Most Creative

Fix the Error got a strong reaction out of me instantly. The moment I heard the words "Grim Reaper Academy", I was excited. A BL drama about a grim reaper? Ooh, that's so damn creative! Imagine all the fun you could have with a supernatural character who has never experienced life among humans. Hell yeah, I'm intrigued! But then, reality kicked in… This series is only an hour long. It comes from a small studio with limited resources. Suddenly, this cool supernatural premise felt too ambitious.

Most Emotional

Four Hands, Two Sonatas Dramatic story

Four Hands, Two Sonatas - Most Emotional

Four Hands, Two Sonatas gets off to an incredible start. I really enjoyed those first few episodes, which made me so invested in the characters' emotional journeys. I hate seeing them suffer, but their drama is super compelling. When Pi-o and Jeong-yo help each other overcome their struggles, I'm delighted for them. That's the power of good storytelling. I get so attached to the characters that their victories feel like my own victories.

Most Positive

Laundry Romance Sweet story

Laundry Romance - Most Positive

Laundry Romance is such an ordinary love story, but I mean that in the best way possible. The main characters are just two nice guys who have respectful conversations. Jiseok is especially supportive. When Jaemin gets all mopey about his job search, Jiseok offers so much positivity. He listens attentively. He reassures him. He shares his own experiences. You'll appreciate watching the couple grow closer simply because they're kind to each other. We love green flags in BL dramas!

Most Underrated

Love Hurts Sweet series

Love Hurts - Cutest Couple

Even though Love Hurts isn't particularly original, I still like the high school portion of the romance. We get flashbacks to Dojin & Jaewon's teenage years, showing us how they fell in love. Their tutoring sessions are my favourite. They sit side by side, bickering over their schoolwork. Jaewon teases his classmate, while Dojin has the cutest reactions. There's such a relaxing vibe between them! I enjoyed this sweet little romance, even if it's rough around the edges.

Summer Fever Romantic series

Summer Fever - Cutest Couple

Summer Fever is one of those dramas where the actors take a crappy script and elevate the material. Despite the dull storyline, they make each romantic moment feel surprisingly intimate. It has a sweet ending. My favourite moment is when Yujun and Yeonho sit on the floor, facing each other as they exchange rings. This scene isn't fancy, but it feels really intimate. What a lovely way to wrap up the romance!

Best Guilty Pleasures

Love Class 3 Juicy series

Love Class 3 - Best Guilty Pleasure

Sadly, the writing in Love Class 3 is shallow as hell. Every storyline is just another way of telling us that FAME IS BAD. Even so, I enjoyed the premise. The story is about the former contestants of an idol survival show. It kinda reminds me of Boys Planet, a reality competition from a few years ago. The series turned this idea into a BL series. Imagine two guys competing in a show while secretly falling in love. The cameras capture every moment… Ooh, the romantic tension is delicious!

Private Lesson Scandalous series

Private Lesson - Best Guilty Pleasure

Private Lesson is full of red flags, which will make you uncomfortable. A university professor in a position of power, getting romantically involved with a young vulnerable student? Whoa, the optics don't look good! I was annoyed and disturbed, but I wasn't bored. The plot has an interesting hook. Ooooh, the scandal! The forbidden relationship! I kept watching because I wanna know how this mess would play out and whether anyone would face consequences. It held my interest for the entire series.

Best Episodes

The Prosecutor's Proposal Episode 7

The Prosecutor's Proposal Episode 7 is one of the best BL episodes.

Episode 7 is the highlight of The Prosecutor's Proposal. Wow, both leads are locked in with their passionate kisses! First, I love that camera pan to the mirror reflection, where we catch the couple making out. I love the moment when Chaeha steps on Taeseon's feet to make up for their height difference. I also love the shot of Chaeha's hand sliding down the glass. Spicy! And just as Chaeha arches backward in pleasure, we get an overhead view of his face. Ooh, that's a visually interesting shot!

Besides the sex scene, I like how the murder investigation has progressed. I love the scene where Taeseon & Chaeha re-enact the murder. Stab, stab, stab! Many years ago, Chaeha's dad went to jail for killing Taeseon's dad. Now, their sons are screwing in the shower! How can you look at this epic storyline and not scream in excitement???

The Lie We Lived In Episode 1

The Lie We Lived In is one of the best BL episodes.

The Lie We Lived In grabs your attention from the first scene. The story starts with Mr. Assassin attacking a stranger and locking him up in a cage. He spends the rest of the episode debating whether to kill his love interest. WTF!? In most BL dramas, the only stressful moment is waiting for the couple to kiss. But this damn series had me screaming at my screen, "HE'S GONNA STAB YOU!!!"

In Episode 1, poor Tae Jeong just wanted a place to stay. Now, he's trapped in a villa with a killer, and the tension builds from that claustrophobia. With every scene, The Lie We Lived In gets more intense! I'm holding my breath as the characters hide dark secrets and scheme against each other.

Boy, with Caution Episode 8

Boy, with Caution Episode 8 is one of the best BL episodes.

The finale of Boy, with Caution is heartbreaking. Kiwoo and Hyunjae say their final goodbyes at the beginning of the episode. They go their separate ways, and Kiwoo tries to move on. The sad part is that Kiwoo still has feelings for Hyunjae. That's why the final scene feels so emotional.

Kiwoo breaks down sobbing, trapped by the same personality flaw that has haunted him his entire life. He has always been too cautious, letting his fears stop him from going after what he wants. If only he could admit his feelings for Hyunjae, maybe they could be together right now. Instead, Kiwoo bottles everything up. His excessive caution has become his biggest obstacle to happiness.

Four Hands, Two Sonatas Episode 2

Four Hands, Two Sonatas Episode 2 is one of the best BL episodes.

Pi-o and Jeong-yo's bromance develops so nicely in Episode 2 of Four Hands, Two Sonatas. Oh, some of their intimate moments are definitely BL-coded! The way they gaze fondly at each other while playing the piano? The way Pi-o rests his head on Jeong-yo's shoulder? They're hugging and holding hands? And they even sleep in the same room? Their so-called platonic friendship looks suspiciously like the start of a romance in a BL drama.

I watch every ambiguously gay scene while hiding a smile behind my hand. Sure, this series only gives us the tiniest BL crumbs, but damn, they're delicious!

Always Meet Again Episode 2

Always Meet Again Episode 2 is one of the best BL episodes.

Episode 2 is my favourite in Always Meet Again. It focuses on the two leads getting to know each other better. I adore these scenes because they're just so light and fluffy. The enjoyment comes from watching them smile, flirt, act goofy, and sneak tiny glances at each other.

Episode 3 keeps that same energy going. More smiling! More flirting! I gotta admit, it's a winning formula. This couple is adorable together. I'm having a blast as they fall in love on screen. Between the playful moments and the gorgeous cinematography, Always Meet Again has found its sweet spot as a BL drama.

Check in to You Episode 5

Check In with You Episode 5 is one of the best BL episodes.

Episode 5 delivers my favourite line of Check in to You: "Try valuing yourself more. Then, even the most ordinary things will become special." Oh, I love this life mantra! Put that motivational quote on a mug! The small but meaningful moment pushed this drama from "pleasantly mediocre" to "yeah, I kinda appreciate it".

Episode 5 also provides great character development for Dokyung, who transforms from corporate shark to secret softie. The actor (Hwang Dong Hee) charmed me with his sweet smiles and bashful glances. When I first saw this muscular hunk, I didn't expect him to be the cute one. Surprisingly, I found him quite adorable.

Korean BL 2026 – Best Kisses

Best Kiss Scenes

Summertime Episode 5

Summertime Episode 5 has one of the best kisses.

Summertime has some of the best kisses in BL history. It's one of those BL dramas you watch for the smut, not for the plot. In Episode 5, Do Hyeon and Eun Ho are having dirty thoughts about each other. Very dirty thoughts. The BL content gets spicy pretty fast! At one point, Eun Ho gets so carried away that his legs just lift off the bed. Imagine hooking up so hard that you levitate!

BL Kiss Score: 10/10. This was the kiss I rewatched a couple of times because I couldn't believe my eyes lmaooooo. Did his legs just lift off the bed!? OMG.

Summertime Episode 10 has one of the best kisses.

The kisses in Summertime are so iconic that I have no choice but to include multiple entries. In Episode 10, the couple has another steamy kiss. Do Hyeon's actor (Seong In Ho) and his co-star (Kim Do Min) have amazing physical chemistry. When these guys kiss, oh wow… HOT!!! They really know how to turn up the heat. I understand why BL fans are going feral over this couple. Yeah, I'm right there with them!

BL Kiss Score: 10/10. I'm tempted to fill this ranking with every steamy kiss from Summertime. Their Episode 8 kiss on the Ferris wheel should've been in the Top 3, but let's give the other BL couples a chance to showcase their chemistry as well.

Never Forget Your Enemy Episode 5

Never Forget Your Enemy has one of the best kisses.

Ironically, Never Forget Your Enemy has such a forgettable story. The couple's physical intimacy may be the only thing worth remembering. Their kissing scenes are so damn smooth, especially when they lock lips in Episode 5. Hanuel's lips are honey, while Saebyeok's lips are caramel. Put them together, and they'll create the most delicious BL content ever.

BL Kiss Score: 10/10. After this kiss, Hanuel is never gonna forget how his man's lips taste!

Private Lesson Episode 3

Private Lesson has one of the best kisses.

In Episode 3 of Private Lesson, Professor Hyunseo crosses that line and kisses his student. It was inappropriate, for sure… But I gotta admit, the kissing was pretty damn juicy! Sorry, but their makeout session looked hot! I especially loved the moment when Hyunseo grabs Jaeon's chin before diving in for a long passionate kiss.

BL Kiss Score: 10/10. Disclaimer alert: I still don't endorse this couple. Nuh-uh! They should never be together! With that said, the kissing scenes are iconic from a purely BL standpoint.

The Prosecutor's Proposal Episode 4

The Prosecutor's Proposal has one of the best kisses.

Episode 4 of The Prosecutor's Proposal ends with Taeseon & Chaeha's first proper kiss. Technically, they had an uncomfortable moment back in Episode 2, but that one shouldn't count. This is the much better kiss, and it also leads to an intense sex scene. Taeseon pins Chaeha against the pillow and licks every body part. Oh, Taeseon isn't playing around. He's here to FUCK HARD!

BL Kiss Score: 10/10. FYI, they also have a really steamy shower sex scene in Episode 7. Wow, both leads are locked in with their passionate kisses!

Love Class 3 Episode 12

Love Class 3 has one of the best kisses.

Love Class 3 has two couples. In my opinion, Hyun Jae and Soo An have a pretty good kissing scene in Episode 12. Unfortunately, I just don't like this couple. The story keeps focusing on their relationship problems. Hyun Jae is too busy! Soo An feels inferior! We get so many reasons why they're incompatible. Even though I'm not rooting for their romance, I can still appreciate a well-done kiss.

BL Kiss Score: 10/10. I actually prefer the second couple, Jae Min and Khun. Sadly, their kissing scenes aren't as good as the leads.

Best Characters

Love Class 3 Jae Min

Jae Min from Love Class 3 is one of the best BL characters.

My favourite character in Love Class 3 is Jae Min, who gets falsely accused of stalking. He's a sweetheart, but his ugly reputation follows him everywhere. Any time someone mistreats him, I feel fiercely protective. Leave my beloved stalker alone, haters! His actor (Lee Woo Jin) is also super cute. Aww, his precious smile melts my heart!

Love Class 3 is a seriously flawed drama. It's lucky to have one charming character who makes the series kinda enjoyable. Sometimes, a mediocre BL series improves because of a likable lead. Jae Min has won me over with his gentle personality, sympathetic backstory, and that adorable face. He's my MVP of Love Class 3, making even those boring scenes more watchable.

The Prosecutor's Proposal Jahyeon

Jahyeon from The Prosecutor's Proposal is one of the best BL characters.

Jahyeon is the main villain in The Prosecutor's Proposal. Her opening scene is super memorable. Jahyeon storms into the office. She throws a wad of cash in Chaeha's face, making him get on his knees to pick up her money. We barely know who these characters are yet, but Jahyeon has already left a big impression. The series wastes no time making us hate her guts.

In Episode 8, her interrogation scene is great. Jahyeon thinks she can outsmart the prosecutor and talk her way out of trouble. I love that it's a battle of wits! This episode ends with five glorious minutes of Jahyeon being an absolute menace! She terrorizes the main couple with that evil little giggle. I was LIVING for every nasty thing out of her mouth. The insults! The truth bombs! Oh, she knows what to say to piss them off. And the best part? IT WORKS! She left them in tears! Bwhahaha!

Sweet Blood Lucifer

Lucifer from Sweet Blood is one of the best BL characters.

Lucifer is the main character in the supernatural BL drama, Sweet Blood. One of the story's best ideas is making Lucifer such a goofy character. Forget the brooding vampire stereotype! Some of the funniest moments come from the vampire prince being hilariously clueless about human customs. Other times, Lucifer just loves stirring up trouble for fun. Minu tells him to behave, and what's Lucifer's response? "But that would be boring!"

Since Lucifer acts so silly, Minu never seems intimidated by him. Unlike many vampire-human romances, the power dynamics between the couple actually feel comfortable. Plus, the actor (In Jae Min) is also a delight. He has a knack for comedy, turning Lucifer into such a lovable goofball.

Best Korean BL 2026 – Series

The Prosecutor's Proposal (2026)

The Prosecutor's Proposal (2026) - Korean BL Series

The Prosecutor's Proposal is a Korean BL series about the complicated relationship between a prosecutor and an investigator. The main character is assigned to a murder case, but he must work for a notoriously strict prosecutor. Once they start working together, the tension between them becomes obvious. The investigator doesn't understand why there's hostility. Later, he discovers his colleague has a personal grudge against him.

The Prosecutor's Proposal Review

The Prosecutor's Proposal combines a serious crime thriller and a spicy gay romance. We rarely get a BL series this unique. Watching two men solve murders while falling in love is so much fun!

Compelling story The story feels rushed at first, cramming a complex investigation into 20-minute episodes. The second half delivers one great episode after another. This crime thriller becomes super compelling!

Complicated romance Taeseon is a problematic boss, so I shouldn't be rooting for this couple. Given their history, should they even be together? But alas, I'm a toxic BL fan who enjoys their flirting and steamy sex scenes!

Excellent acting Taeseon's actor (Kim Yoon Sik) fits his role as the intimidating prosecutor, while his co-star (Park Si Woo) shines in the emotional scenes. The supporting cast also delivers iconic performances.

Questionable artistry The awful AI usage annoys me and undermines an otherwise solid production. Every episode begins with those ugly AI-generated opening credits, which make the series look cheap. Get rid of it!

Boy, with Caution (2026)

Boy, with Caution (2026) - Korean BL Series

Boy, with Caution is a Korean BL series about a high school teacher who gets tangled up with a troubled student. The main character has started working at a new school. One of his students keeps skipping classes and shows up with fresh bruises on his face. The other teachers don't seem concerned, but our protagonist can't ignore the warning signs. As he gets closer to the lonely teenager, their relationship takes a complicated turn.

Boy, with Caution Review

I enjoyed Boy, with Caution as a dark psychological drama, even if the teacher-student romance is icky. The story tackles morally complicated topics, making me think harder than the usual BL series.

Fascinating story Boy, with Caution tackles a controversial teacher-student romance with surprising psychological depth. The characters are emotional wrecks, but their messiness make for some fascinating drama.

Uncomfortable romance Kiwoo and Hyunjae's inappropriate relationship gives me the ick, especially when their romantic scenes feel so awkward. I prefer Jungha & Sungwon, but they take forever to make any progress!

Impressive acting Ryu Se Il is fantastic as the depressed teacher, capturing so much sadness with just a wistful look. The younger actors are also impressive, showing their characters' pain without going overboard.

Gloomy artistry Boy, with Caution has a gloomy atmosphere. Many scenes are filmed with dim lighting and muted colours, which makes everything look bleak… The visuals are just too dark and drab for me.

The Lie We Lived In (2026)

The Lie We Lived In (2026) - Korean BL Series

The Lie We Lived In is a Korean BL series about an assassin on a dangerous mission. The main character is hired to break into a house and eliminate the homeowner. His plan goes smoothly until an unexpected visitor shows up. This guest isn't supposed to be here. He doesn't know anything. The protagonist pretends to be someone else to avoid suspicion. His disguise works for now, but he must decide whether to let this innocent man live or not.

The Lie We Lived In Review

The Lie We Lived In is a sexy BL thriller with an exciting storyline. It constantly keeps me on the edge of my seat. Despite many plot holes near the end, I still had fun with this unique series.

Exciting story The Lie We Lived In reminds me of those classic noir thrillers from the 1940s and 1950s. The dark and intense story keeps me on the edge of my seat. Sadly, there are too many absurd plot holes.

Twisted romance At first, I was worried about shipping Tae Jeong with Mr. Assassin, who seems violent and dangerous. Later, I changed my mind about them. The relationship is twisted, but I like their physical intimacy.

Compelling acting Yi Do's actor (Kim Seung Beom) looks so commanding on screen. This sexy assassin is dreamy as hell! He has good chemistry with his co-star (Kim Kyung Min), who seems likable with an angelic smile.

Moody artistry The production values are solid. It's not as glamorous as some of the glitzier Korean BL dramas, but everything seems respectable. Most importantly, the series pulls off a dark, moody atmosphere.

Summertime (2026)

Summertime (2026) - Korean BL Series

Summertime is a Korean high school BL series about two childhood best friends. The main character has been inseparable from his bestie for as long as he can remember. However, he's secretly in love with his best friend. He tries to bury those feelings until a new transfer student shows up and steals his bestie's attention. As jealousy takes over, the protagonist might destroy the friendship before he gets the chance to confess.

Summertime Review

Summertime delivers hot BL smut, but the story is shallow and mostly annoying. Come for the childhood-friends romance, stay for the legendary kisses, and don't expect much substance beyond that.

Shallow story The storylines don't have much depth. At first, I enjoyed the couple's friends-to-lovers arc. However, their relationship angst drags on for too long. The contrived drama really annoys me.

Hot romance Do Hyeon and Eun Ho get really intimate with each other. Their hot kisses are the highlights of this series. However, I feel icky endorsing this romance because of Do Hyeon's toxic personality.

Wooden acting The leads (Seong In Ho & Kim Do Min) have sizzling chemistry, especially when they make out. Outside those spicy moments, both actors seem kinda wooden. They'd just stand there with blank faces.

Gorgeous artistry Oh, this series looks expensive! The polished visuals and slick camerawork make everything beautiful. The cinematographer knows how to capture those steamy scenes at the hottest angles.

Love Class 3 (2026)

Love Class 3 (2026) - Korean BL Series

Love Class 3 is a Korean BL series about three former contestants from an idol survival show. One lucky guy won the competition and debuted with a successful boy group. His love interest wasn't so lucky. After getting eliminated, he vanished from the spotlight. The two were once inseparable, but they've drifted apart. The third guy quit the show because of a scandal. Life hasn't been easy until he meets a classmate who doesn't judge him by his past.

Love Class 3 Review

Love Class 3 wastes a promising premise on shallow writing and disappointing romances. Thank goodness for Jae Min, the charming MVP who makes this flawed BL drama more enjoyable.

Mediocre story Love Class 3 has a juicy premise about idols falling in love during a survival show, so why the hell does it skip the actual competition? Instead, we get shallow K-pop tropes that aren't as interesting.

Frustrating romances Hyun Jae & Soo An's relationship has so many problems that I can't ship them. Jae Min and Khun are cuter, although I'm still holding a grudge against Khun for mistreating my beloved Jae Min!

Decent acting The cast delivers okay performances. Jae Min's actor (Lee Woo Jin) is cute, so I'm a bit biased. Soo An's actor (Seo I Han) is stronger than Sae Byeol and Petch, who are coasting slightly on their looks.

Solid artistry Like the previous seasons, Love Class 3 has good production values and competent directing. I liked that the series travelled to Thailand to film Jae Min & Khun's date. It made a big difference!

Four Hands, Two Sonatas (2026)

Four Hands, Two Sonatas (2026) - Korean BL Series

Four Hands, Two Sonatas is a Korean series about two teenage pianists who develop an unlikely friendship. The main character is a music prodigy from a wealthy family. He's known for his perfect technical skills. One day, a new student arrives at his school on a scholarship. This newcomer is just as talented, except he comes from a poor background. Their instructor thinks they can learn from each other and encourages them to perform together.

Four Hands, Two Sonatas Review

Four Hands, Two Sonatas was great at first, but the ridiculous plot twists ruined my enjoyment. I'm disappointed in the bromance, which stops being fun to ship after the first few episodes.

Dramatic story Four Hands, Two Sonatas starts with a compelling story, making me so invested in Pi-o & Jeong-yo's emotional arcs. Sadly, the plot becomes too ridiculous and overdramatic in the second half.

Disappointing bromance At first, Pi-o & Jeong-yo's friendship is very BL-coded. They're almost written like a couple. Later, they ruin their bromance. Pi-o even kisses a girl. I feel devastated because my BL fantasy is dead.

Powerful acting Pi-o's actor (Song Kang) gives a fantastic performance as a tortured musician, especially in the later episodes. Lee Jun Young is equally captivating, making me feel every bit of Jeong-yo's suffering.

Majestic artistry The production quality is excellent, giving the musical performances an air of sophistication. Even when Pi-o is simply playing the piano, it almost feels like the greatest concert of the century!

Always Meet Again (2026)

Always Meet Again (2026) - Korean BL Series

Always Meet Again is a Korean BL series about a guy who travels back in time. When the main character visits his old high school, he has a weird out-of-body experience. Somehow, he wakes up as his teenage self. Now, he has to figure out how to get back to his original timeline. If that wasn't stressful enough, the protagonist also tries to change history. He wants to save a classmate from a tragic accident.

Always Meet Again Review

Always Meet Again delivers stunning cinematography. Both leads are charismatic as hell. Sadly, the boring & badly written time-travel plot takes over the story's second half, sucking the fun out of the series.

Lacklustre story Early on, Always Meet Again is enjoyable because of the couple's blossoming romance. Later on, the time-travel plot takes over. It's an incoherent mess. That boring nonsense ruins the series.

Charming romance Episodes 2 + 3 are peak BL content. The couple charms me with their smiles, flirting, banter, and adorable behaviour. Yet, the angsty melodrama in the later episodes makes me forget why I liked them.

Charismatic acting Woojin's actor (Shin Jeong You) walks into a scene, and my eyes snap straight to him. That smile alone is dazzling! His co-star (Woo Ji Han) is effortlessly charming, particularly in lighthearted moments.

Gorgeous artistry OK, the cinematographer deserves a raise. Every location looks like an oil painting. The intimate close-ups are gorgeous. The visuals do much of the heavy lifting to elevate the romantic atmosphere.

Never Forget Your Enemy (2026)

Never Forget Your Enemy (2026) - Korean BL Series

Never Forget Your Enemy is a Korean BL series about a guy who loses his memory after an accident. The main character was struck by a car and fell into a coma. When he wakes up, he can't remember anything from the past ten years. He's shocked when his childhood best friend reveals that they're actually a couple. The protagonist has no memory of this relationship or any of the major changes in his life.

Never Forget Your Enemy Review

Never Forget Your Enemy is a forgettable BL drama with a dull storyline and terrible performances. The steamy scenes look hot, but the couple's romance is still lacklustre and doesn't excite me.

Boring story I don't like the choppy storytelling in Never Forget Your Enemy. The disjointed scenes make the plot more confusing than it needs to be. Most of the series is just so boring and really forgettable.

Steamy romance I don't like how the romance is written, but the steamy scenes compensate for everything. The two leads give it their all during the passionate moments. Their kisses look so damn smooth!

Weak acting Outside of the physical intimacy, both leads give poor performances. Hanuel's actor (Hwang Jun Su) never delivers the angst convincingly. His costar (Lee Ja Woon) is as stiff as a block of wood.

Attractive artistry Yeah, the production looks high-end and polished. The camera work during the steamy scenes is impressive, creating such a sensual atmosphere. The rest of the visuals are also consistently good.

Love Penalty (2026)

Love Penalty (2026) - Korean BL Series

Love Penalty is a Korean high school BL series about two volleyball players. The main character is the team captain, who immediately clashes with the new recruit. They're forced to share a dorm room, but their annoying habits get on each other's nerves. As they spend more time together, the two teens start to grow closer. The protagonist must also compete with his teammates. Only a few trainees will be selected to join a professional team.

Love Penalty Review

Love Penalty has a promising start, but the rest of the story is a mess. The dumb nonsense in the last few episodes makes me roll my eyes. The couple's romance also feels woefully underdeveloped.

Ridiculous story Love Penalty starts out as a cute high school romance. Then, it turns into a bizarre mystery about school corruption. The second half is full of ridiculous plot holes. I can't take any of the nonsense seriously.

Lacklustre romance Uju and Hanbin have some funny moments together, but where are the romantic sparks? Their relationship needs more intimate scenes to make me believe they're actually falling in love.

Decent acting Uju's actor (Hong Dong Geon) is a cutie who leaves a good impression. His co-star (Lee Geon Ho) is mostly fine, but maybe he could've brought a little more personality to Hanbin's character.

Plain artistry Yeah, the production looks high-end and polished. The camera work during the steamy scenes is impressive, creating such a sensual atmosphere. The rest of the visuals are also consistently good.

Play Me (2026)

Play Me (2026) - Korean BL Series

Play Me is a Korean BL series about a retired actor who becomes a director. After a mental health crisis, the main character decides to quit acting and pursue his dream of directing a stage play. It's something he wanted to do since he was a teenager. During auditions, the protagonist reunites with his high school crush after years of drifting apart. As they reconnect, both guys try to figure out how they feel about each other.

Play Me Review

Play Me has decent visuals, but its dull story and forgettable romance leave me unimpressed. The writing isn't engaging. I get through the whole series and don't remember most of it.

Boring story Play Me is just really boring. The characters are so dull. Their dialogue is also dull. Their scenes together are the dullest. I can watch an entire episode and not remember a single damn thing.

Dull romance Yihyun and Jaeon drag out their boring relationship drama for the first half of the series. They get sweeter in the second half, but those cheesy confessions & timid little kisses aren't making me swoon.

Unconvincing acting Yihyun's actor (Park Seong Hyeon) struggles in some important scenes. He doesn't deliver a convincing performance. His co-star (Yang Hong Seok) holds back during the romantic moments.

Interesting artistry The series looks surprisingly pretty thanks to its intimate close-up shots and creative camerawork. I love the dreamy kiss scene in Episode 5, proving you can make BL magic with almost nothing.

Wooju Bakery (2026)

Wooju Bakery (2026) - Korean BL Series

Wooju Bakery is a Korean BL comedy series about a bakery owner who meets an alien prince. The main character is shocked when a UFO crashes straight into his shop. These two aliens explain that they can't return to their planet without a spaceship. The protagonist hires them as employees and slowly develops feelings for the prince. However, the aliens aren't supposed to be on Earth, and their presence turns the bakery into a magnet for trouble.

Wooju Bakery Review

Wooju Bakery has failed to entertain me. Its jokes are too childish and don't make me laugh. Its sci-fi storylines are too weird and make me lose interest. Even its romance is nothing special.

Weird story Wooju Bakery delivers a strange sci-fi comedy with aliens, rayguns, and a man who transforms into a stuffed dog. WTF!? From the ridiculous plots to the embarrassing characters, it never got better.

Mediocre romance A human falling for an alien is actually such a cool concept, but the series hardly explores that relationship. Wooju and Raon flirt a bit. They share a quick kiss. That's pretty much all you're getting.

Unremarkable acting Raon's actor (Jeff) is fine, even though his role doesn't require much of him. His co-star (Barcode) has a few noticeably awkward moments. Some of his reactions feel unnatural.

Cheap artistry I like that Wooju Bakery is a little quirky. Its premise is certainly creative. However, the props, costumes, and special effects all look like a cheap school production.

Check in to You (2026)

Check in to You (2026) - Korean BL Short Dramas

Check in to You is a Korean BL series about a guesthouse manager and a business executive. The main character runs a cozy guesthouse by the beach. One day, the owner shows up and announces his plans to sell the unprofitable business. Before the sale can take place, the two men accidentally swap bodies. They have no idea how to switch back. Now, they must adjust to their new identities and get used to life as somebody else.

Check in to You Review

Check in to You is a cute romcom that I enjoyed. The series is too short, so both the plot and the romance feel rushed at times. I still liked the charming leads and all their lighthearted little moments.

Lighthearted story Check in to You has a fun concept. After the leads swap bodies, the story brings out plenty of lighthearted silliness. However, the plot and character arcs can feel rushed because the story is too short.

Cute romance The leads have a cute black cat and golden retriever dynamic. I smiled at some of their sweet moments together. Yet, I'm not fully sold on their relationship. We need a few more bonding scenes.

Charming acting Jio's actor (Kim Dong Won) is great at playing a grumpy bastard. It tickles me that he looks perpetually unimpressed with the world! His co-star (Hwang Dong Hee) also won me over with his sweet smile.

Decent artistry It isn't a high-budget production, but everything still looks decent. The beach scenes are the highlights, especially when the couple kisses during the sunset. Ahhhh, so romantic! So cinematic!

Sweet Blood (2026)

Sweet Blood (2026) - Korean BL Short Dramas

Sweet Blood is a Korean BL short drama about a vampire prince who loses his powers after drinking a human's blood. The main character is a university student who discovers that he has a rare blood type. One night, he gets into an accident and loses a lot of blood. Drawn to the sweet scent, a vampire drinks from his body and immediately feels sick. Once he realizes that his powers are gone, he needs the human's help to get them back.

Sweet Blood Review

Sweet Blood tells a really cool and creative vampire story. I love the lighthearted humour, especially the goofy characters. Too bad everything feels rushed because the episodes are too short.

Creative story Sweet Blood has a lot of creative ideas! I love its unique take on a vampire story, which keeps getting weirder with its supernatural twists. I also like that many episodes are surprisingly lighthearted.

Rushed romance Minu and Lucifer seem to get along, but they act more like buddies than boyfriends. While the last few episodes include some intimate scenes, I'm still not convinced this couple is truly in love.

Delightful acting Minu's actor (Lee Sang Min) shines in this role and shows off his natural charm (plus, his ripped body!) His co-star (In Jae Min) is just as delightful, turning Lucifer into a lovable goofball.

Low-budget artistry The series has ambitious ideas, but the shoestring budget makes everything look cheap. Plus, the sloppy AI usage is distracting. I hate the AI-generated thumbnails on the YouTube videos.

Laundry Romance (2026)

Laundry Romance (2026) - Korean BL Short Dramas

Laundry Romance is a Korean BL short series about two men who meet at a laundromat. The main character feels anxious about his upcoming job interview. While waiting for his clothes to dry, a friendly stranger offers some unexpected career advice. The protagonist is grateful for his kindness. They become friends and start hanging out more often. As they grow closer, romantic feelings start to develop between them.

Laundry Romance Review

Laundry Romance has a simple story that may be too short to make an impact. Even so, the couple has a really sweet romance. They have cute scenes together that will make you smile.

Ordinary story Laundry Romance is about two ordinary guys who meet at a laundromat and become close. Their relationship feels very down-to-earth. With that said, this story is too short and simple.

Gentle romance The couple's scenes together are sweet. I like how Jaemin acts flustered around his crush. I enjoy how Jiseol flirts with him. Sadly, the story's short length limits how much this romance can develop.

Decent acting The script is simple and doesn't demand much from the actors. Even so, the two leads (Park Hyun Jun & Lee Ha Jin) have enough natural chemistry to make their relationship feel believable.

Modest artistry The production faces low-budget limitations, so some filming locations are the same as the studio's past dramas. I like the scene in Episode 2 when the lights suddenly dim, creating an intimate vibe.

Fan Service (2026)

Fan Service (2026) - Korean BL Short Dramas

Fan Service is a Korean BL short series about a celebrity who accuses the wrong guy of being his stalker. The main character is a famous actor who has received anonymous threats, so he's constantly on edge. One day, he suspects a stranger may be following him home. They end up in a heated confrontation, only to realize it was just a misunderstanding. As an apology, the protagonist agrees to give the man an exclusive interview.

Fan Service Review

Fan Service starts strong with hilarious moments that had me grinning through the first few episodes. In the second half, the series falls apart. It fumbles major storylines and backs the wrong couple.

Inconsistent story Fan Service has a surprisingly sharp start with funny moments and memorable scenes. The first few episodes kept me entertained. But then the second half nosedives hard. SO hard.

Wrong romance I was shipping the childhood best friends until the bitter end. Instead, the series backs the wrong couple by pairing Jaeyeon with someone he barely knows. Their sudden attraction feels random as hell.

Lighthearted acting The actors are clearly better at comedy than drama, and you can tell they're having fun in the lighter scenes. When the second half gets more serious, they struggle with the heavier material.

Fine artistry The production looks fine. I must admit, the AI usage is sloppy in the first episode. Otherwise, the cinematography is visually pleasant for the most part. Not bad for a low-budget studio.

Love Hurts (2026)

Love Hurts (2026) - Korean BL Short Dramas

Love Hurts is a Korean BL short drama about two former high school classmates who reconnect after years apart. The main character used to get awful grades, so his teacher assigned the class president to become his tutor. They grew close and started to develop romantic feelings. But then, his crush moved overseas. Years later, the protagonist is surprised when they meet again at university. Both are left wondering where their relationship stands.

Love Hurts Review

Is Love Hurts original? No, but I still enjoyed this sweet little romance enough to forgive some of its flaws. The high school flashbacks are my favourite, but the couple loses their spark as adults.

Predictable story Love Hurts has a pretty predictable plot. Oh, look! Another Korean BL drama about reuniting with your high school crush… The story is still okay, but it feels like an inferior version of a popular trope.

Cute romance Dojin and Jaewon are adorable in the high school flashbacks, especially when they tease each other during their tutoring sessions. Their romantic chemistry isn't as strong once they reunite as adults.

Weak acting Dojin's actor (Kim Chan Gyu) is such a cutie, but neither he nor his co-star (Kang Seon Ho) can handle the dramatic scenes. We get vacant stares and stiff expressions when they're supposed to be emoting.

Unpolished artistry Both leads look good on camera! Thanks for capturing their best angles! However, some indoor scenes are too dim. Do we not have enough lighting? Other outdoor scenes also look too bright.

Summer Fever (2026)

Summer Fever (2026) - Korean BL Short Dramas

Summer Fever is a Korean BL short drama and the sequel to Winter Fever. The main characters are in a long-term relationship. Life is going well, but they still have some trust issues. At home, the main character feels insecure because he knows his boyfriend is hiding a secret. At work, he meets an overeager student who wants to get close to him. Nothing inappropriate has happened between them, but their bond still makes his partner jealous.

Summer Fever Review

Summer Fever has sweet vibes, but the storyline is so generic. We've seen these same old relationship plots many times before. The actors do their best to make the romance slightly more enjoyable.

Bland story Summer Fever recycles the same old relationship conflicts we've seen in countless love stories. The plot is so unoriginal that I can't tell it apart from dozens of other BL dramas.

Generic romance Yujun and Yeonho have outgrown some of their annoying habits, so they're much easier to root for this time. That said, their lovey-dovey moments feel like the usual cookie-cutter romantic fluff.

Genuine acting Both leads (Kwak Geon Hee & Seo Jung Hyun) give lovely performances that make their romance feel genuine. Bless these actors for making a mediocre script seem better than it actually is!

Okay artistry This sequel is a visual upgrade from the original series. I like the brighter lighting and warmer colours, so the scenes look more flattering. However, I noticed an audio issue here and there.

Private Lesson (2026)

Private Lesson (2026) - Korean BL Short Dramas

Private Lesson is a Korean BL short series about a university professor and the student he used to tutor. A year ago, the main character was helping a high school kid with his studies. The student tried to confess his feelings, but he got rejected. Now, they've ended up at the same university. The student's feelings have grown stronger over time. The protagonist turns down his advances once more, but his partner is determined to seduce him.

Private Lesson Review

Private Lesson has juicy kissing scenes that I enjoyed. However, the couple's teacher-student romance is problematic. The writing lacks depth, making the characters feel painfully one-dimensional.

Scandalous story Private Lesson has an interesting hook. The scandalous plot made me curious about how the mess would play out, but the writing isn't strong. The characters have no depth outside "teacher" & "student".

Predatory romance I was rooting against the couple. Hyunseo keeps saying no, but Jaeon won't take no for an answer. So annoying! I'm also not cool with the iffy tutor/teacher-student romance dynamic.

Strong acting Hyunseo's actor (Yoo Jin Seok) gives a strong performance. His co-star (Ki Myoung Je) gets to show off more personality here than in his past roles. Plus, their kissing scenes are juicy as hell!

Unremarkable artistry The production is okay for a small studio, but it doesn't stand out in any memorable way. The filming locations feel like an afterthought. They'll just shoot a scene in any random place.

Winter Fever (2026)

Winter Fever (2026) - Korean BL Short Dramas

Winter Fever is a Korean BL short series about a couple whose relationship is falling apart. The main character lives with his sweet and attentive boyfriend. Lately, he has been questioning about their future together. He doesn't feel happy anymore. At school, he meets a senior student who obviously has feelings for him. This guy tries to convince the protagonist to dump the boyfriend and date him instead.

Winter Fever Review

Winter Fever leaves me unimpressed. I don't find the cliched story that interesting. The couple also seems unhappy together, and I was rooting for them to break up in the end.

Unoriginal story Winter Fever is about a love triangle with a guy trying to steal someone else's boyfriend. We've seen this plot before! Winter Fever feels like a recycled story following a tired old formula.

Dull romance The couple doesn't seem happy together. Yujun never once tries to talk to his boyfriend, while Yeonho turns into such a clingy mess. By the end, I was rooting for these two to break up.

Decent acting The cast delivers solid performances. Hyunseo's actor (Yoo Jin Seok) is compelling as the villain. The other two leads (Seo Jung Hyun & Kwak Geon Hee) try their best to elevate the cliched material.

Basic artistry The production quality of this series is on par with the rest of the low-budget dramas. It looks basic and cheaply made. Some of the filming locations, like the parking lot, aren't that visually interesting.

Cross Link (2026) - Korean BL Short Dramas

Cross Link is a short Korean BL series about two boyfriends who have been dating for almost a year. Their relationship is going well. They live together and are about to celebrate their first anniversary as a couple. The main character has struggled to find a job for months. When he finally gets an offer, it requires him to relocate abroad. Now he's wondering how to break the news to his partner and whether it will derail their romance.

Cross Link is a short and inoffensive BL drama, but you'll forget it exists five minutes after it ends. This story brings absolutely nothing new to the table that other BL series haven't already done better!

Cliched story Cross Link takes that tired "boyfriend moves overseas" plot from every BL drama's final episodes and stretches it into an entire series. This story plays it so safe that it makes me snooze.

Forgettable romance The couple has a few cute moments, but the series wastes all its time on job offer angst. Also, no kiss unless you pay for the uncut version? Come on, throw us free viewers a bone here!

Okay acting The performances get the job done without being particularly memorable. The story is so blah that it doesn't challenge the two leads in any substantial way. Mostly, they seem okay.

Bland artistry At only 15 minutes, this series is way too short to develop anything meaningful. Everything about this series feels low-effort. I want this studio to try harder and actually make a good BL drama for once.

Love in Protocol (2026)

Love in Protocol (2026) - Korean BL Short Dramas

Love in Protocol is a Korean BL series about a psychological experiment. The main character is a researcher running a clinical study on human behaviour. He asks deeply personal questions, getting his test subject to open up about himself. These two men have already met before. Years ago, they developed a close bond over their private tutoring sessions. Nothing romantic happened back then, but those unresolved feelings have resurfaced.

Love in Protocol Review

Love in Protocol has an unusual concept for a love story, but it doesn't work for me. The romance feels incredibly off-putting. The couple's unhealthy dynamics leave a bad taste in my mouth.

Strange story Love in Protocol takes place within a psychological experiment. The premise is weird, but at least it seems different. However, the story just feels off-putting and never lives up to its potential.

Icky romance The tutor-student backstory and messy power dynamics make this relationship hard to root for. Add in stiff dialogue and zero sparks. The romance becomes uncomfortable instead of compelling.

Okay acting Both actors do an okay job with what they are given, but the writing holds them back. They don't get much of a chance to shine. At least they share a decent kiss near the end.

Improving artistry The studio's production values are improving, especially compared to older Korean YouTube BL dramas. While the visuals look polished, the storytelling still needs a lot more work.

Opposites Attract (2026)

Opposites Attract (2026) - Korean BL Short Dramas

Opposites Attract is a Korean BL short series about two guys who meet at a bar. The main character is a university student who sets his sights on an older man and lies about his age to seem more mature. Somehow, it works. After hooking up, both of them want to have a serious relationship instead of a casual fling. However, the protagonist is now in a tricky situation because of his lie. To make things more awkward, he realizes his partner is his professor.

Opposites Attract Review

Opposites Attract could have been interesting. I see a few glimpses of potential, but the series has too many flaws. The writing is lazy. The couple lacks passion. And the dialogue just feels so awkward!

Disappointing story I'm disappointed in Opposites Attract. With better writing, the storylines could be complex. Yet, the events don't unfold interestingly. The plot wastes too much time going nowhere.

Awkward romance The couple has painfully awkward conversations and an obvious lack of chemistry. Their kissing also lacks any passion. The relationship improves slightly midway, but it's too little too late.

Lacklustre acting Minu's actor (Cho Myeong Gyun) is handsome, but he lacks energy and can't command a scene. His co-star (Hyun Woo) seems shy on camera, almost as if he lost confidence in his performance.

Fine artistry The production quality is fine, but nothing special or memorable. It looks like a standard low-budget BL drama. The production seems decent enough, but no visual flair to elevate the weak material.

On the Edge (2026)

On the Edge (2026) - Korean BL Short Dramas

On the Edge is a Korean short movie about three relationships. The first pair is a man and a woman, the second is between two men, and the last involves two women. Each couple is given the same script and asked to play about an emotional scene. In every version, the story begins with the main character finding out that their friend is moving away. They hover on the edge of a confession, desperately trying to stop their loved one from leaving.

On the Edge Review

On the Edge has a unique concept, but I don't really like watching the same scene three times. It's boring and repetiitive. The lack of a real storyline makes it hard for me to care about these couples.

Repetitive story On the Edge has a cool gimmick. Three different couples perform the same scene, but there's not enough of a story. All we get is the same scene each time, which feels boring and repetitive.

Undeveloped romance We only get to see a single moment in each couple's relationship. I need an actual romantic journey with a beginning and an end. The BL couple only occupies one-third of the movie, which isn't enough.

Decent acting Some actors are stronger than others. Two of them stood out for me. I liked the guy from the first story because he emoted well. I was impressed with the girl with the short hair, who cried during her kiss.

Clever artistry I respect the filmmaker's creativity. It's an interesting experiment to give us three versions of the same scene. With that said, it felt like I was watching an acting workshop over an actual love story.

Fix the Error (2026)

Fix the Error (2026) - Korean BL Short Dramas

Fix the Error! is a Korean BL short series about a grim reaper on his first mission in the living world. Before earning his official qualifications, the main character must complete his training by collecting a human soul. However, he can't read the written instructions telling him who to take. After arriving in the human world, he meets two university students. As he tries to figure out which guy is his target, he ends up getting close to both of them.

Fix the Error Review

Fix the Error has a fascinating supernatural plot, but the lousy execution wastes all that potential. The love triangle is totally unnecessary. Jihan has zero chemistry in either relationship.

Unbelievable story A grim reaper BL drama sounds so damn creative, but Fix the Error wastes its fascinating premise on a boring university storyline. This series has so many plot holes that nothing feels believable.

Lifeless romance Jihan barely knows his two love interests, yet both guys are suddenly falling for him. Their awkward interactions have zero romantic chemistry. I don't care about either relationship.

Stiff acting Most of the cast gives awkward performances. The lead (Kan Hyeon Bae) doesn't seem natural on camera. Hyunjun's actor (Lee Hyeon Jun) is particularly stiff and shows no emotion.

Amateurish artistry This series is made by a small studio, which doesn't have the resources to bring the fantasy world to life. The production feels amateurish, especially in the cinematography department.

High School Boy (2026)

High School Boy (2026) - Korean BL Series

High School Boy is a Korean BL vertical drama about a teen who gets bullied by the delinquents in his class. The main character is tired of being harassed by these knuckleheads who just won't leave him alone. His solution is to befriend the strongest guy and use that friendship as a human shield against future beatdowns. The protagonist sets his little master plan in motion. He doesn't realize this so-called bodyguard has a secret crush on him.

High School Boy Review

High School Boy has an entertaining storyline. There are funny characters and charming actors. Whenever the couple comes close to a romantic moment, this series always chickens out. It's annoying!

Funny story High School Boy is pretty funny! The humour comes from watching Iltak constantly misread situations and accidentally make everything worse for himself. Both leads are entertaining together.

Stagnant romance Whenever Iltak & Hyeonwu come close to an intimate moment, the series always chickens out. It keeps them stuck in relationship limbo, which is frustrating. We don't see an actual romance.

Charming acting Iltak's actor (Han Se Jin) is so charming in every scene. He shines in this comedic role with all his funny expressions. His co-star (Lee Jung Hoon) also delivers a solid performance.

Low-budget artistry High School Boy is filmed vertically, making the production look hopelessly low-budget. These actors deserve a real platform instead of being stuck on a short-form drama app.
